Question

Explain why big boulders can be moved easily by the flood.

Open in App
Solution

Big boulders can be moved easily by the flood because the force is applied by flood water and is very much large. It is more than enough to move large boulders along with any other in waters ways.

The friction reduces due to the water logged near and below the boulder. Also, due to the upthrust by the water, there is an apparent loss in the weight of the boulder. Therefore boulders can move easily by the flood.
