Explain why, filament type electric bulbs are not power efficient.

In the filament type electrical bulb, most of the energy is consumed in heating the filament. the filament first gets heated up and then glow. A large amount, 95%, of electrical energy is lost as heat energy. Therefore, filament type of bulb is not power efficient or energy efficient.
