Solution

  1. When a body is partially or fully immersed in a liquid an upward force acted, this force is called buoyant force.
  2. This helps the object to float on the liquid.
  3. The difference in pressure acting on a body that is partially or fully immersed in fluid above and below the body is called buoyancy.
  4. When we want to lift a stone inside the water we feel it lighter because an upward buoyant force is acting on the stone continuously.
  5. This upward force makes the stone feel lighter.
  6. When the stone is out of the water that upward force stops acting and hence we start to feel, the stone heavier.
