Solution

Micturation or Urination

  1. Urination or micturition is a process of expelling urine from the body.
  2. Humans tend to lose water from the body through sweat and urine.

In the winter season

  1. In winter, the temperature is low and the sweating is very minimal. Water is majorly expelled through urination.
  2. Since, sweating is very minimal, the frequency of urination is increased to maintain the water balance in the body.

In the summer season

  1. Contrastingly, in summer, the temperature is high and the sweating is profuse.
  2. This leads to greater water loss through sweating.
  3. This stimulates the kidneys to reabsorb more water and conserve it for the body.
  4. This results in a lower frequency of urination in summers.
