Explain, why speed is important for survival in the grasslands for animals that live there.

Grasslands are areas dominated by grasses where there is only a very less number of trees and shrubs. It is a habit for animals like deer, zebras and predators like lions, tigers, wolves etc. In order to survive, speed is important for both predators and prey in the grasslands. Prey has to run fast to escape from predators while predators need speed for hunting.
