Solution

Dear student,
1.During the change of state the heat energy given to the substance is utilized in overcoming the forces of attraction between the molecules. That is why there is no rise in temperature.
2.To a person sitting in the centre of the room the smell of ammonia (NH3) will reach the person first because the rate of diffusion of ammonia is more. rate of diffusion is inversely proportional to molar mass .More the mass lesser the rate of diffusion
