Explain why, when an object is placed between two plane mirrors inclined at an angle, then multiple images are formed.

When object is placed between the two inclined mirrors then light rays bounces from the two mirrors many times before leaving the system, which results into the multiple images. When two plane mirrors are parallel to each other then light continuously bounces infinite number of times, hence infinte images are formed.
