Water shows an anomalous behaviour; it's density decreases when it is cooled from 4 ${}^{\circ }$C to 0 ${}^{\circ }$C and when it is heated beyond 4 ${}^{\circ }$C. Therefore, water has maximum density at 4 ${}^{\circ }$C.
