Solution

A PHYSICAL change is a type of change in which the form of matter is altered but one substance is not transformed into another. The size or shape of matter may be changed, but no chemical reaction occurs.

Physical changes are usually reversible. Note that whether a process is reversible or not is not truly a criterion for being a physical change. For example, smashing a rock or shredding paper are physical changes that cannot be undone.

Chemical Change Definition

A chemical change is a process where one or more substances are altered into one or more new and different substances. In other words, a chemical change is a chemical reaction involving the rearrangement of atoms. While a physical change can often be reversed, a chemically change typically cannot be, except through more chemical reactions. When a chemical change occurs, there is also a change in the energy of the system

Candle burns
When a candle burns, there is both a physical and chemical reaction.
The physical change is quite obvious and in fact, it can be seen. When the candle burns, the wax slowly melts and the candle gets smaller and smaller. This wax, as can be seen, will drip onto the candle and stick to it. When this wax forms back into a solid and stays on the candle, that is another physical change that can occur.
