Explain with examples how living things act in response to their environment.

Different living things respond in different ways to their environment. For example, in summers our skin produces sweat which on evaporation, decreases our body temperature and keeps us cool. Because of the excess loss of water from the body we feel thirsty in summers and so we need to drink more water.
