Explain with reason
Haloarenes are insoluble in water but soluble in benzene?

Dear student,
Due to the double bond character in haloarenes ( because of Resonance ) it becomes almost non polar in nature which leads the insoluibility in water as it can not forms H -bonding with water while in organic solvent like benzene it is soluble as it is an armatic organic compound.
