b. Consumers may be over charged for a product,
c. They may not be given proper receipt by the seller that is proper bills/cash memo of the product purchased.
d. Sometimes adulterated or defective goods are sold to consumers.
e. A particular product may be deliberately weigh less by the seller.
f. A shopkeeper may indulge in unfair trade practises by cheating , making false claims.
Consumers can protect themselves:
a. By being aware about their rights
b. Consumers are advised to buy only hallmarked gold jewellery.
c. They must ask for a proper receipt from the shopkeeper of the product purchased.
d. Must also check details of the products , which includes price, expiry date.
e. Consumers must also buy standardised products
f. Must be aware of COPRA , various rights and redressal mechanism.
