Question

express average velocity when the velocity of a body changes qt non uniform rate and a uniform rate

Open in App
Solution

Dear Student,

(1). When the velocity of a body changes at a non-uniform rate, its average velocity is found by dividing the net displacement covered by the total time taken. i.e. Average velocity,

v = Total displacementTotal time taken

(2). When the velocity of a body changes at uniform rate ,its average velocity is given by arithmetic mean of its initial and final velocities for a given period of time, Average velocity,

v = Initial velocity + final velocity2
