Express the 0.3¯ rational numbers in the form pq , where p and q are integers and q0.

Expressing rational number in pqform , where p and q are integers and q0 :-

Let , x=0.3¯=0.3333..... --(1)

Multiplying both sides by 10, we get

10x=3.333...=3.3¯ --(2)

If we subtract 0.3¯ from 3.3¯, the repeating portion in the decimal cancels out.
Subtracting(1) from (2), we get

10x-x=3.3¯-0.3¯9x=3x=39x=13

Hence , the rational number 0.3¯ in the form of pq will be 13, where p and q are integers and q0 .
