Expressing rational number in pqform , where pandqare integers and q0 :-

Let , x=2.91¯=2.919191..... --(1)

Multiplying both sides by 100, we get

100x=291.919191...=291.91¯ --(2)

If we subtract 2.91¯ from 291.91¯, the repeating portion in the decimal cancels out.
Subtracting(1) from (2), we get

100x-x=291.91¯-2.91¯99x=289x=28999

Hence , the rational number 2.91¯ in the form pq , where pandqare integers and q0 is 28999.
