Solution

Find the difference in simplest form:

9x2-2x-15-2x+3

Use splitting the middle term to factorize x2-2x-15:

(Take two numbers such that their sum is -2 and their product is -15)

=x2-5x+3x-15

=x(x-5)+3(x-5) (take common terms)

=(x-5)(x+3)

Now, the expression will be:

9(x-5)(x+3)-2x+3

=9-2(x-5)(x-5)(x+3)=9-2x+10(x-5)(x+3)

(add like terms together)

=-2x+19(x-5)(x+3)

Hence, the difference in simplest form is -2x+19(x-5)(x+3).
