Expression of the effect of water and soil on population density:-
Population distribution on the earth surface is determined by physical factors includes attitude, latitude, relief, climate, soils, vegetation, water and location of mineral and energy. Soil is one of the main physical factors that affect the distribution of the population. The quality of soil is exerts an undeniable influence on the distribution of world population.
Besides, water is another main physical factor. The most limited resource is water. Though it covers over three fourth of the earth's surface, freshwater is only 25% of that, and most of it frozen in glaciers and polar ice caps. As population density increases, the demand fore the limited freshwater also increases. Increase in population also accelerates the population.
