Solution

Find the expression in the simplest form:

5x+5-2x+5x2+9x+20

Use splitting the middle term to factorize x2+9x+20:

(Take two number in such a way that their sum is 9 and their product is 20)

x2+5x+4x+20=x(x+5)+4(x+5)

(take the common terms)

(x+5)(x+4)

Substitute them in the given expression:

5x+5-2x+5(x+5)(x+4)=5(x+4)-(2x+5)(x+5)(x+4)=5x+20-2x-5(x+5)(x+4)

(simplify by grouping the like terms together)

=5x-2x+20-5(x+5)(x+4)=3x+15(x+5)(x+4)

(take the common term in numerator)

3(x+5)(x+5)(x+4) (cancel the like terms)

=3x+4

Hence, the expression in the simplest form is 3x+4.
