(53)6×524

Open in App
Solution

For any non-zero integer a, where mandn are whole numbers,

amn=am×n

So, 536= 53×6 where a=5,m=3,n=6

=518………………….(1)

Also, 524=52×4 where a=5,m=2,n=4

=58………………….(2)

Therefore, (53)6×524=518×58 (From (1) and (2))

we know that, am×an=am+n

Exponents can be added only when the bases are the same.

So, 518×58=518+8 where a=5,m=18,n=8

=526.

Therefore, (53)6×524=526.
