Solution

Given: x5 + 2y = 3
x + 10y = 15

y = 15 - x10

We have to check whether (-5, 2) is a solution of the given equation.
So,
LHS = x5 + 2y = -55 + 2×2 = -1 + 4 = 3 = RHS
Hence, (-5, 2) is a solution of the given equation.
