1. This technique is very popular among forensic field workers as it can easily detect criminals with the help of a trace of their DNA sample from the crime scene.
2. Even during the cases of paternity disputes, the DNA matching of parents to that of the children can resolve the issue.
3. This technique is also used to study the evolution as well as the genetic diversity of a population.
