The given fractions $\frac{7}{9},\frac{3}{6}$ are unlike fractions because they have different denominators.

When we compare two unlike fractions, we first get their equivalent fractions with a denominator which is a common multiple of the denominators of both the fractions.

The LCM of 9 and 6 is 18.

The equivalent fractions with the same denominator are :

$\frac{7}{9}=\frac{7\times 2}{9\times 2}=\frac{14}{18}$ and $\frac{3}{6}=\frac{3\times 3}{6\times 3}=\frac{9}{18}$

Now, $\frac{14}{18}>\frac{9}{18}$
