limxaf(x)

=a
=RHL.
limxa+f(x)
=limxa+3x2a
=3a2a
=a
=LHL.
Now f(a))=(3x2a)x=a
=a.
Hence LHL=RHL= value of function at 'a'.
Hence, the function is continuous at x=a.

Consider differentiability
=limxaf(x)
=limxa=1=LHD
and,
=limxa+f(x)
