Facing North, Niharika walks 20 m, then she turns left and walks 30 m then again she turns left and walks 20 m. then she turns right and walks 10 m. How far and in which direction is she now from her starting position?

From the above diagram we can see that if Niharika start from point O at the end see will be at point D.
The required distance is OD.
OD = AB + CD
OD = 30 m + 10 m
OD = 40 m

From the above diagram, D point is on the west direction from the starting point.

Hence, the required answer is 40 m, West.
