Question

factorise;

1. (3a-2b)3 + (2b-5c)3+(5c-3a)3

Open in App
Solution

(3a - 2b) + (2b -5 c) + (5c - 3a) =0

We know x^3 + y^3 + z^3 - 3xyz = (x+y+z) (x^2 + y^2 + z^2 - ax - yz - xz)

so here x =3a-2b ,y=2b-5c, z=5c-3a

and x + y + z =0
so
(3a-2b)3 + (2b-5c)3+(5c-3a)3=3(3a - 2b)(2b -5 c)(5c - 3a)

So the factors are (3a - 2b),(2b -5 c),(5c - 3a)

Hope this helps:)
