Let $a + b = a$
Factorizing $- 5 a^{2} + 6 a + 8$ ,
Split $6 a$ as:
$= - 5 a^{2} + 10 a - 4 a + 8 = - 5 a (a - 2) - 4 (a - 2) = (a - 2) (- 5 a - 4)$
Substituting, $= (a + b - 2) (- 5 a - 5 b - 4)$
