Given: 2a(p2+q2)+4b(p2+q2)

The commom factor is 2(p2+q2) .

Dividing the above expresion by 2(p2+q2), we get ,

2a(p2+q2)2(p2+q2)+4b(p2+q2)2(p2+q2)

=a+2b

2a(p2+q2)+4b(p2+q2)=2(p2+q2)(a+2b)
