Given: $2 x^{2} + (\frac{x}{6}) - 1$

$= (\frac{1}{6}) (12 x^{2} + x - 6)$

By splitting the middle term, we get,

$= (\frac{1}{6}) (12 x^{2} + 9 x - 8 x - 6)$

$= (\frac{1}{6}) (3 x (4 x + 3) - 2 (4 x + 3))$

$= (\frac{1}{6}) (4 x + 3) (3 x - 2)$

Hence, the answer is $(\frac{1}{6}) (4 x + 3) (3 x - 2)$ .
