Question

Factorise the following : (i) 25a Square + 30a + 9

Open in App
Solution

25a²+30a+9

We factorise using splitting the middle term formula.

So we need to find 2 numbers whose sum = 30
And product = 9×25=225

Then numbers are 15 and 15 .... simple mind calculation...nubers sum's last digit is zero and product last digit is 5...so numbers will be multiple of five...

Then 25a²+15a+15a+9
5a(5a+3)+3(5a+3)
Take out the common term (5a+3)

(5a+3)(5a+3)
