Note that $11 = 5 + 6$ and $30 = 5 \times 6$ . This helps us to split the trinominal as
$x^{2} + 11 x + 30 = x^{2} + 5 x + 6 x + 30 = x (x + 5) + 6 (x + 5)$
thus $x + 6$ and $x + 5$ are the factors.
