(2x5)(x1)=0


We need to find two numbers whose product is (5×2)=10 and whose sum is 7

Let us first split the middle term 7x as 5x2x
[(5x)×(2x)=10x2=(2x2)×5]
So, 2x27x+5=2x25x2x+5=x(2x5)1(2x5)=(2x5)(x1)

Now, 2x27x+5=0 can be rewritten as (2x5)(x1)=0.
