Open in App
Solution

Given: p2+6p+8=0

Step 1: 12(6p)=3p

Step 2: (3)2=9

Step 3: p2+6p+8+9=0+9

(p2+6p+9)+8=9

(p+3)2=98

(p+3)2=1

p+3=±1

p=13 or p=13

p=2,4

Hence, p2+6p+8=(p+2)(p+4)
