Multiplying 3 by 23 gives 6

Factors of 6 are

1×6=6 sum: 1+6=7

2×3=6 sum: 2+3=5

So, our required pair of factors is 2 and 3

3x2+5x+23=0

3x2+3x+2x+23=0

3x(x+3)+2(x+3)=0

(3x+2)(x+3)=0

Factors are (3x+2), (x+3)
