Speed of boat = 12 mph
Speed of stream = 2 mph

Farah is moving downstream as she is moving with the stream or moving in the direction in which the stream flows.

The formula for downstream speed is:

Downstream speed = Speed of boat + Speed of stream

Here,
Downstream speed = 12 + 2 = 14 mph

We know,

Speed=DistanceTime

Time=DistanceDownstream speed

Time=2814
