There are four main female reproductive hormones- FSH, LH, estrogen, progesterone.
At puberty, the hypothalamus secretes gonadotropin-releasing hormone under an influence of which anterior pituitary secretes FSH and LH. FSH and estrogen stimulate follicle growth in the early phase of menstrual cycle.
After this, ovulation occurs under the influence of LH. After ovulation, corpus luteum secretes estrogen and progesterone that are important for maintaining pregnancy.
