Solution

Fusion of male and female gamete of Plasmodium takes place in the stomach (gut) of the female Anopheles mosquito resulting in the formation of ookinete. The ookinete penetrates the wall of stomach of the mosquito and forms oocyst. The oocyst undergoes meiosis to form sporozoites which reach the salivary gland of the mosquito to further transmit into the blood of man.
