(a) Average velocity =TotaldisplacementTotaltime=10010=10 m/s
(b) Instantaneous velocity is given by the slope of the x vs t graph at that point instantaneous velocity at 2 sec =502.5=20m/s
Instantaneous velocity at 5 sec =05=0 m/s
Instantaneous velocity at 8 sec =10050107.5=502.5=20 m/s
Instantaneous velocity at 12 sec =01001510=1005=(20 m/s).
