speed 50 cm s−1. Sketch the shape of the string at t = 4 ms, 6 ms, 8 ms, and 12 ms.
The distance travelled by the pulses are shown below.

s=vt=50×10−2×4×10−3
=2 mm
t=8 ms=8×10−3s,
s=vt=50×10−2×8×10−3
=4 mm
t=6 ms=6×10−3s,
s=50×10−2×6×10−3
=3 mm

=6 mm
