Figure shows the Distance-Time graph of an object. Calculate the following:
(i) Average speed in the first 6 s.
(ii) Distance travelled at the end of 10 s.
(iii) Speed at t = 2 s, and at t = 6 s [5 MARKS]

Part 2: 1 Mark
Part 3: 3 Mark



So looking at the above distance-time graph we can find:

(i) Average speed at 6 s,
v=1006=16.67 m/s

(ii) Distance travelled at the end of 10 s = 100 m

(iii) Speed at t=2s

Speed v1 = 402 = 20 m/s

Speed at 6 s,
v2=1006=16.67 m/s
