Figure shows the variation of a force F acting on a particle along x- axis. If the particle begins at rest at (x=0), what is the particle's coordinate when it again has zero speed ?

The correct option is B :6
The particle can only move if a force is applied to it

When x = 0 a force of 10 N is applied to it to make it move.

At rest the velocity is 0 since there is no motion.

Again at the point when the force applied is equal to 10 in opposite direction then the particle does not move and thus the velocity is zero.

We therefore look for a point when the force is equal to zero.

From the graph the point is :x=6m
