(i) Finding the Area of the rectangle.​
Area of a rectangle =length×breadth
=(6×2) cm2
=12 cm2
Hence, area of the rectangle is 12 cm2.

(ii) Step 1: Finding the perimeter of the rectangle.​
Perimeter of the rectangle
=2(length + breadth)
=2(6+2)
=16 square units.
Step 2: Finding the side of the square.
Since, perimeter of rectangle and square are same.
Perimeter of square =4×side
Therefore, Side of square =Perimeter4
=164
=4 units
Finding the area of the square.
Area of square =(side)2=(4)2
=16 sq. units.
Hence, area of the square is 16 sq. units.
