Question

Fill in the blank:

The complement of an acute angle is ________ angle.

Open in App
Solution

We know that;

  1. If the sum of measures of two angles is equal to 90then the angles are said to be complementary angles.
  2. Complement of any angle can be found by subtracting that angle from 90
  3. Acute angles are those which are greater than 0o but less than 90.
  4. Therefore, the only angles that add to 90 are acute angles.

So, here if the acute angles are subtracted from 90 then the resultant angle will also be an acute angle.

Hence, the complement of an acute angle is an acute angle.
