The preposition ‘around’ means covering all the sides, in other words circling. In the given sentence the mother is asking the girl to turn and face her, therefore, it could be interpreted as the girl turning from one position to another, i.e. in a circle. Thus option C is correct. On the other hand the prepositions ‘towards’ and ‘through’ are used to speak about moving from one place to another or passing through something. Both of these are unsuitable since the person is only turning from one position to another and thus there is no movement from one place to another. Hence options A and D are incorrect. Whereas to ‘turn off’ something means to switch it off. This is inappropriate in the given context, therefore option B is incorrect.
