In the given sentence there are seven teams, therefore ‘among’ is the suitable answer. Hence option C is correct, while ‘option D is incorrect. On the other hand ‘against’ means ‘in opposition to’. If we use ‘against’ in the given sentence it would mean that the competition is opposed to all seven teams, whereas in reality, it is among them and not in opposition to them. Hence option A is incorrect. Similarly ‘besides’ means other than them, which is once again unsuitable so option B is incorrect.
