Solution

The correct option is B the little

The adjectives ‘little’, ‘the little’, ‘few’ and ‘a few’ are used to denote quantity. ‘A few’ means some, whereas ‘few’ and ‘little’ mean hardly any while ‘the little’ means not much but all of the things in the given category. ‘A few’ and ‘few’ are used for countable nouns. On the other hand ‘little’ and ‘the little’ are used for uncountable nouns. As ‘money’ is an uncountable noun, we cannot use ‘a few’ or ‘few’. Hence option C and D are incorrect. ‘Little’ means hardly any, and it is used only in negative sentences to convey the complete lack of something. Since the sentence states that she had some money which was completely robbed, option A is incorrect. ‘The little’ is apt here because it explains that she didn’t have much money but whatever she had was completely robbed of her. Thus option B is correct.
