Solution

  1. It is the normal tendency of any fluid to maintain equilibrium.
  2. This will be maintained only if the air moves from high pressure to low pressure.
  3. Consider a case, where exists a region of pressure of 100Pa and in another region,it is 80Pa.
  4. So the difference of pressure is 100-80=20Pa.
  5. To maintain this 20Pa, high-pressure air has to rush towards low-pressure air to maintain the overall pressure of 100+802=90Pa
  6. This is the reason why air always moves from high pressure to low pressure.
  7. The same reason applies to why current flows from high potential to low potential.
Heat flows from high to lower (without external agency). So the high pressure has high driving potential, due to which this phenomenon occurs.
  8. Water always flows from high altitude to low altitude to maintain equilibrium and potential energy balance.
  9. Air inside a balloon always tries to come out( either from the inlet or by ballasting the balloon as air pressure inside the balloon is high compared to outer pressure).

Air moves from a high-pressure region to a low-pressure region to maintain equilibrium and stability
