Step 2: Writing in Indian numeral system
For the numeral 2310104:

In the Indian system, counting from the right-hand side towards the left-hand side, a comma is placed after:

(1) One’s period = First three digits (104) i.e., hundreds, tens and ones.

(2) Thousand’s period = next three digits (10) i.e., Hundred-thousands, Ten-thousand and Thousands.

(3) Lakh’s period = next three digits (23) i.e., ten lakhs and ten lakhs.

Therefore, according to the Indian system, 2310104 can be written with the comma as 23,10,104.
