A linear pair can be defined as two adjacent angles that add up to 180° or two angles that form a line or a straight angle when combined together.

As given in the figure below :

So, 1 and 2 form a linear pair.

Now, as per the question :

AOB and AODare adjacent angles that add up to 180°. (i.e. AOB+AOD=90°+90°=180°)

Hence AOBand AODform a linear pair.
