Additive identity is a number which when added to a number gives the number back.
For eg, let additive identity of 7 be x, then,
7+x=7 i.e. x=0
Zero is thus called the additive identity.

Multiplicative identity is a number which when multiplied to a number gives the number back.
For eg, let multiplicative identity of 4 be y
4×y=4 i.e. y=1
1 is thus called the multiplicative identity.
