Pancreas release both insulin and glucagon from beta and alfa cells respectively. When blood sugar levels are too low, the pancreas releases glucagon. Glucagon forces the liver to release stored glucose, which causes the blood sugar to rise. While insulin decreases the blood glucose level being a hypoglycemic hormone.
